When Life Kicks You In The Face…

Have you ever felt like life has just 100% thrown the rug out from under you? You feel like the breath has been knocked out of you? Have you ever felt so confused about your life path? Or you’re sitting around wondering what the heck is going to happen next? What should I do? How do I handle this? How can I get through this? We’ve all been there because life just sucks sometimes because the devil is really good at his job… He gets into our innermost thoughts and twists them so we doubt ourselves and God’s plan. He sets the stage up for us to just walk right into it so he can run the show with our emotions. For some, he enhances the depression and the anxiety levels. Sometimes it just sucks. Sometimes it feels like our world is crumbling.

I’ve been there. I’ve been there many, many, many times. There have been times where I Continue reading

Someday My Prince Will Come.

I heard someone talk today about how they hear people always say they’re searching for true love. They’re searching for the truest, most real kind of love. The kind of love they’re seeking doesn’t come from a person. It doesn’t come from a relationship with another person on this earth. That kind of pure love comes only from God. Agape love- everlasting, never-ending love is a free gift from the Lord. I do believe that there is love out there for everyone here on earth when it comes to relationships. No, it’s not pure, and it will not ever be perfect like the agape love we receive from Christ, but love is real in relationships.

As I sit here thinking about my current singleness and the desire I have to be loved again by someone special, I think about ‘my prince’. Let’s just say, Hallmark and Disney movies have ruined me… I am a hopeless romantic so I am a sucker for these movies. You see the Continue reading

The Bible always talks about the importance of community. The second greatest commandment is loving your neighbor. Jesus was always around people. He was around people that hated Him, people that followed Him, and people that had no clue who He was. Still, it’s community. I think that was a rather large point that Christ wanted to make with His walk on earth was being plugged into people. I truly believe He wants us to be united with one another. He sees the beauty when we love our neighbors, but I think He finds great joy when His followers gather together.

You Blog?

Well, here it is. This is the beginning of this thing that people call a blog. This began as a random idea my sister had the other day. She thought it would be a good idea for me to have an expressive outlet, and a way to hopefully minister to people. So here we go….

I am Kelise and I am a single woman living in West Texas. I’m figuring out how to live out my Christian walk in the best way possible. My life involves my family, my dog, Biscuit, my community at church, and my job. I love to bake, go on adventures, watch movies, and living life to the fullest. Somehow in the mix of all of that, I end up finding out that Christ is a way better life planner than I am, I am the dorkiest extrovert you’ll meet, and life can be hilariously awkward and sticky.

That’s why this site is here. I want to make this place grow. This blog is to make light of everyday funny life moments, talk about relationships, being single, living for Jesus, how annoying/adorable my dog is, and some baking is thrown in there because baking is the best. My blog is a big ball of random, but that’s what I am, so why not go for it? 🙂

P.S. If anyone of you would like to ask questions, PLEASE DO! I am an open book about my faith, my testimony, and things of that nature. Also, I would love to know what topics you have that you would like to see a post about. I would love your feedback. Thank you and I can’t wait for this wild ride!!
